Hagenbeck Foundation Commitment to species conservation

Hagenbeck successfully breeds endangered species in coordinated conservation breeding programs and offers them a safe refuge. As the park receives no regular public funding, donations and bequests are essential for the Hagenbeck Foundation. The foundation, established in 1998, is committed to the protection of endangered animal species, nature and species conservation, as well as science and research, and its support makes numerous projects at the zoo and around the world possible. The "Hagenbeck Magazine" provides regular information about projects and environmental issues, supported by the commitment of donors and active members.
